    Admissions

    Train for a high demand career helping others in one of our healthcare careers! Tri-State Tech has an open-door admissions policy and admits men and women to its programs without regard to race, color, creed, religion, nationality or physical limitation. Specific entrance requirements vary depending on the course or program selected and is limited only by the following criteria:

    A student must be a high school graduate or the equivalent, or at least 18 years of age and successfully pass the Adult Basic Learning Exam.

    For optimum success, it is recommended that all applicants should plan to complete the admission process at least 30 days before the beginning of the first day of class. The procedure for admission is as follows:

    1. Obtain an Application from the Campus or from our website.

    2. Complete the application and make your initial deposit for the course in which you are interested in enrolling into than review your application for accuracy.

    3. If applicable, participate in the Adult Basic Learning placement exam. Note: Call the Tri-State Tech campus office for dates and times of assessment testing.

    4. Successfully complete a drug screen.

    5. Must have a negative tuberculosis screen which is provided by the school or provide copy of chest x-ray results if already taken. (You may contact your Department of Health for testing information).

    6. All students must also complete a background check and be free of any charges that may make the candidate questionable for providing care to the community (i.e., assault, theft, drug use or possession, rape).     ALL DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND DIVISION OF VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS MUST VISIT A CAMPUS TO ENROLL ONCE DOL OR DVR VERIFICATION IS RECEIVED, NO EXCEPTIONS.
